A couple weeks ago, there was a Len Duong camp in Triangle, Virginia. Lynn, Pearl, and I attended. The theme for this year's Len Duong was leadership through service which very much compliments our mission as WAVE members. At Len Duong, during an open mike discussion, the three of us individually spoke of our opinions on what it's like today to be Asian Americans. We all gave our little plug for WAVE. At the talent show, both Lynn and Pearl performed beautifully. Before Pearl's performance the three of us stood on stage together to promote WAVE. I spoke of the opportunities to impact those across the world with the power that we as young Vietnamese Americans have. People seemed to really respond well to our talks about WAVE as lots of people asked us for flyers afterwards. Even though this year's Len Duong experience is much different from last year's, but I'm very glad I was able to share it with my WAVE sisters...
